The other day I was in my local Guitar Center store and saw a lapsteel hanging on the wall for $349 I believe. I'm not sure but I think the brand might have been Chandler. The pickup looked like an old Gibson and the thing was a very nice looking instrument. Has anyone had any experience with these and are they worthy of looking into? I'd like to have another lapsteel with a more modern string spacing like this one has......JH in Va.

Yes, Chandler lap steels are frequently featured at Guitar Center stores. They're very decent lap steels, especially for the price.

Has anyone tried out the "Studio 8" eight stringer that is made by Chandler?
