Anyone ever tried one of these with a lap steel? I have a chance to acquire one very inexpensively and thought it might make a good home amp. I only play blues and rock so it is unnecessary for it to have excessive clean headroom. Any thoughts?

I haven't tried that model out, but the "big" Orange amps are tremendous.

(Hey, not to change the subject, but didn't you have a Champion 600? How's that for home use?)

I blew up 2 of the Champion 600's and returned them to GC. They sound fine if you use no effects, but the input side is pretty weak.

As to comparisons to the other Orange amps this one is solid state but I have read some great stuff about them. I ended up getting the 15 watt version on fleabay BIN for $85. I'll definitely post a review- it is a steal if the reviews are realistic. The gist of what I read was that it was a great amp for using with effects but that it's own overdrive is a bit lacking. That's OK with me, as I prefer pedal overdrive anyway.
