As many of you know, Winnie Winston left us about a year ago, just before the release of his final CD, "Misty Morn", which is available for sale here on the Forum. However, until now there have been no sound clips of the songs available on the web so you could preview the CD. Although this link takes you to another site to hear the clips, I'd encourage you to come back to make your purchase here, where the proceeds benefit the steel guitar community; I think Winnie would have liked that.
The CD includes some of Winnie's favorite tunes, including: Apple Jack, Nashville to Bakersfield, Danny Boy, City of New Orleans and others. Check 'em all out at: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/winniewinston |

I learned "Nashville to Bakersfield" right after I got the Winston/Keith book, back in the 1970's. I believe the version that was on the recording that came with the book was performed by Bill Keith, but I could be wrong. We used that tune for our opening number on our second set for many years. It was a good song to play after coming back from our first break.
Thanks for providing that link.
