I attended the West Texas Western Swing Festival in Snyder Texas friday night and was treated to excellent steel guitar playing by Roger Edgington with Billy Mata, Herb Remington with the Wild River Band, and Rick Price with Jake Hooker. These were all great Texas Bands. I was able to visit with Roger for a while and he is a good ole boy always willing to visit with a fellow steeler. And for those of you who were worried about Dickie Overby leaving Jake Hooker, I can assure you that Rick Price is more than up to the task. Jake had em dancin. Snyder is always an enjoyable experience.

Danny, I'll be going to the Wichita Falls show next weekend. I wish I could have attended both shows. Some of the same groups will be at Wichita Falls. You're right about Roger Edgington, a great player and a very nice guy.
