Andy,

What a great book. I bought it as a Christmas gift for myself and am enjoying it. It was nice to see so many styles represented. Thank you for all the hard work you put into this wonderful book.

I wanted to add my praises as well. I received it as a Christmas gift (big hint to the wife). What a pro effort. You cover a lot of territory in terms of content and the graphics and photos are first rate. Exceptional! This is a great book and an absolute must-have for anyone associated with the SGF.

My sentiments exactly. There's lots of info that we steel players are actually interested in re. players' tunings, bios, etc. Get yourself a copy if you haven't already!

Sincere thanks for your kind reviews. The book was 14 months in the writing but 30 years in the "thinking". I'm gratified that people like it.

You beat me to it...MY book is so heavy, one would need casters to push it. Thanks for the mention in your book. Appreciate it.

When can we buy it, Jody? I'll bring my Radio Flyer to wheel it home!

ps No need to thank me. It took about 30 seconds of listening to the HCOA to convince me the world needed to remember your contributions to the steel guitar.

Same here. I've read it from cover to cover over and over again. What a great book.

I wish someone would write one of this quality about the pedal steel.

I have one other book that I treasure alongside Andy's, the groundbreaking 'Whole Earth Catalogue; from the 70's, this and Andy's book would be amongst my my desert island reads along with the entire Lowell George/Jerry Byrd audio catalogue

Kudo's to you Andy! There is very little written about steel guitars and their players. I am fairly new to the whole steel guitar thing and while I have an extensive library of books on vintage guitars, your book is the only one I have totally dedicated to steel guitar.

Andy’s book is on my bookshelf along with several other steel guitar books. It’s a great reference book and fun reading.
