I am leaving Thursday to go to Geneva, Switzerland to play a gig with the Cornell Hurd Band. http://www.cornellhurdband.com/ It is for the Swiss Red Cross Ball. http://www.redcross.ch/data/news/696_de.pdf
We come back Sunday night. Talk about jet lag. I am really looking forward to going, though.

I hurd left handed steel players have to fly counter clockwise to get across the pond.

Hi Roy, Sounds like a great gig. Maybe you will see Shania, as she lives in Switzerland. Be careful and knock 'em dead. Jody. |

I just got back from there Roy. Geneva is truly one of the world's great cities. Doesn't sound like you have a whole lot of time to do stuff, but if you are staying close to a tram line you can take that anywhere in the city. If you are a history buff, a visit to Old Town would be high on the list. Also, Carouge is a quaint part of town. And of course the lake is nice
Take an umbrella. It can be sunny and beautiful one minute and pouring rain the next.
Oh yeah, if I lived there I would weigh 400 pounds...So much good food, breads, pastries, chocolate, etc...A great local specialty is perch filets sauteed in butter....
Have fun! _________________ Tommy Detamore

Hey Roy,
It sounds like a great time!
My daughter lives in Cedar Park and I get up there quite often. We'll have to get together and Jam sometime.

Thanks for the replies. I'm heading out the door to the airport.
Bo I hope the pilot isn't a lefty.
Jody If I see Shania, I'll surely tell her hello for you
Fred I hope the Swiss are ready for the CHB
Tommy Good thing I'm not staying there long--too much to eat.
Roger email me sometimes when you are coming to Cedar Park. I'd love to jam.
