Jody, Thank you for creating the idea of this club. It was a modest beginning in Conroe on meeting number 1, but it's grown dramatically! Your idea was to promote the instrument and yesterday you had a great turn out of amatuers, like myself, and the seasoned pros. What can I say about Billy!! He is second to NO ONE, including the headliners, like, Hughey, Emmons, etc. Billy's style and creativity is a joy to watch and listen to. His vocals are likewise great. If Billy chose to tour, he'd be on the national stage.
Thanks to you, Billy, and Patty. _________________ Mullen, G2, D10, Peavey Nashville 112, Roland Cube 80XL, DD3, Goodrich L10 VP. |

Jody, Billy, Patty, thanks for your determination to keeping the club going. I had a fun time and am looking forward to the next meeting in August. The guitar player was Mel Stephen from Vidor Texas. He is a very good steel player also. He has a vintage black mica S-10 MSA. I am trying to convince him to bring it to the next meeting. |

Sorry about that Tommy. As Jim Reeves once said, "All steel guitar players have brain damage". Once again, he was proven right. Jody. |

I forgot to mention how nice it was to see Leon . He has had some health problems and it looks like he is doing real good. Hopefully by August, Leon will be ready to pick with us again. Hang in there Leon. Jody. |
