Hey,
It's been a pretty exciting day. when I bought my first guitar a 70's Fender 800, I thought it would be "good enough" to learn on but I've found that the 3 pedal 1 knee has some draw backs and the guitar itself is a little less than sturdy. Well, a friend of a friend turned me on to a guy selling an 1983 (I think ) Dekley S-10 with 3 pedals and 4 knees. Just what I was looking for. I payed 900.00 for it and i believe I got a great deal. I've included some pic's. Now here is the exciting part. I get home, turn the guitar over and what do I find ? A couple of autographs. I don't know if they are authentic but I have no reason to believe they are fake. Check it out tell me what you think.

The autographs look authentic to me and so does the 705 pickup. The 705 is a great pickup and highly sought after. I like your deal.

Very, very, good buy, IMHO. Dekleys are solid as a rock (with weight like a boulder) and have great tone and mechanics. And two of the greatest players have touched it!! Wonder if they left any good licks in it??? Laughing

My guess is that it was signed at one of Jeff's classes, since Buddy helped him from time to time.

At any rate, Dekleys are great guitars, and that one will be a workhorse for many years, and will probably outlive you and me combined! Laughing

Hey Joe, Those autographs look aunthentic, especially the one from Buddy. He signed under my Sho-Bud when he was here in England, and it looks the same. Spray clear laquer over it to save it. Mine was on there for many years, after laquering despite a fire that burned the 'Bud. It's since been rebuilt, Signature still there Smile Regards Jeff Newman, that looks authentic too, because I got a hand written letter from him many many years ago regards universal copedants.

I have that same axe also in "woodgrain". Easy to play, easy to work on. You won't be sorry, except when you have to lift it...

You can get the manual to it at http://www.steelguitarinfo.com under "manuals".
