A lot of traffic lately on Pickups - I just came across this gadget in the English magazine 'Acoustic'

It's priced at £65, approx $130 US.

Of course, I have no experience with such a product. That doesn't stop me from offering an opinion. After all, this is the internet. 
Given that, it seems like clamping a microphone to the body of an acoustic instrument in the way they're showing on the web site would dampen the vibrations of the instrument.

| Easy to knock off while moving around too. Looks kind of like a growth on your guitar. Probably pretty clean for sitting down or maybe recording? |
