well after me saying how good my echoplex fulltone tape unit was - the thing busted on me on the road last week! well i feel foolish...

very weak echo, and is going out of tune

does fulltone have a contact number? or can any steelie techs head give me some advice..

He used to post a direct number, but I guess he's screening his calls. Some people love to hate Mike, but every time I've talked to him he's been pretty nice. Maybe a dealer can get you a direct phone number. What exactly is wrong with it?

Weak echo, in and out of tune = tape path problems.
Look for dirt or foreign onjects in the tape path, especially near the capstan and pinch roller.
Also, a failing tape can case this.
Other causes include the drive belt and/or power supply issues, but those Fulltone units are built really well.
I suspect the tape or path.
