Anybody noticed how much more definition the steel guitar on Carey Underwood's "Wasted", has on GAC's top 20 countdown, than CMT's? I have both recorded on DVD, and the GAC version is a knockout -- and on the CMT's version, the steel and fiddle sound muddy and muffled? Also, Martina McBride produced her latest single (dull), and left her long-time steel guitar off. She used it on American Idol, and the song sounded great. |

Martina's latest album "waking up laughing" has very little steel in it, but I still love it very much she is a great singer. Alen Jackson's album "red on a rose" I think there is just one song with steel, but I think the album is intended to be more jazzy. |

A.J., I guess I'm conditioned to hear steel accents on a Martina recording. Only one I liked without steel was "Valentine". Apparently, no-one else has noticed how washed-out the sound on the video of "Wasted" sounds on CMT, as compared to GAC. Oh well, guess they'll keep playing the dud. If I were the cd producer, I'd be irritated. |

I don't know about ya'll, but on my TV the stereo imaging gets really weird sometimes. One particular instrument might stand way out. I don't hear the problems on the radio on those same songs so one would kind of think that it has something to do with GAC. I'm not too much of a fan right now anyway...after the way they did us on the Todd Fritsch video! _________________ Robby
