I am trying to help an old friend here. This guitar was purchased new on '96 or '97. It is a SD10 with 3 pedals and 6 knees. It is is excellant condition and was played primarily in church. Some of you may know the lady...her name is Delores Simmons and she is noted for playing her steel "barefoot" so... that should attest to how soft the guitar plays. It does have a compensator on the neck. It is teal green. The fish symbol on the guitar is being removed(only stuck on) and the LeGrande III is being put back on. The reason for selling this guitar is for her to raise monies to address a severe family issue and it is a must. She is asking $3,100 for the guitar and I might add it is well worth every penny. The case is in excellant condition as well. This guitar will make someone very very very happy I assure you. If you are interested please e-mail me at rwalker5@nc.rr.com. I advised her of our selling policy fee here on the forum and she has agreed to honor that.

Ray, would atrade of some kind be considered on this guitar? I have a '66 p/p black SD10 3&4 (converted from D10) i absolute mint condition I would consider trading as well as about 9 other steels... Bobby

Ray, I'm sorry about Dee's misfortune and hope she can recover her losses. I saw her in St Louis I think in 2001 and she was remarkable bare feet and all. tell her the old man who videoed her program is concerned. Jack

Ray/Dee,

I know this guitar sounds great.

I was with Pops Klein and watch Dee until she quit playing and enjoyed every minute of it. She followed that up by sending me a CD, which I still play and still enjoy.

Please tell Dee "Hi!" from the two old guys from Michigan(one has since moved).

I hope all is well with her.

Jim

Thanks Jack and Jim...I will pass your kind words to Dee. Bobby, I am sure Dee would appreciate your offer however it is necessary for her to sell her guitar at this time to raise funds for something very important for her. Thank you for your offer though and God Bless

Ray Walker

PS

I have received many e-mails...most asking if I have completely lost my mind. I have nothing in this matter other than to post this guitar for a friend who asked me to help in this way. I have not...nor will I receive or accept any compensation whatsoever. It is simply a matter of helping one's fellow man.
