Gentlepeople,

Awhile back I thought I heard, or read that Peavey has a stereo amp setup with one stereo head and two small 15" speaker cabinets. Can anyone verify this? I play a Franklin stereo guitar, and presently I play through two Peavey Nashville 400's. I would like to cut down on all the weight factor if possible. Any ideas?

Bob

Bob I have a rack mount Peavey DPC750 which is a stereo power amp (350W per side)....and I drive that into 2 x Peavey Nashville E115 cabinets with 1501 Black widows. They don't make these cabinets anymore but they come up for sale occasionally !! Don't know that they currently have anything similar in their product lineup.

Good luck

I use the Transfex Pro head. It is basically a Transtubefex with 2 power amps at 130 watts into 4,8 or 16 ohms (switch selectable). I use two of the Peavey 112E cabinets with 1203-4 BW speakers.

There is one of the heads at musicgoround.com

The heads have a memory battery and it must be replaced or a battery-less mod put in it. Mine had damage from battery leakage, Peavey repaired it.

The one at music-go-round I have seen. It looks brand new. It's at the store up on Bethel Rd here in Columbus.

Gentlemen,

Thank you so much for your help. Now armed with a wealth of information, I will check my options and decide on the path for PSG stereo amplification. Very Happy
