When using two 112s in line with each other, does the 1st 112 control the volume level of the second 112 ?
Also does the second 112 in line have the same tone mid ,high low Etc as the first or is it independant of the first 112 tone settings ?

Wait a minute, whos on first, no , 1st is on second , Confused

If your talking about going to the first amp input 1
out of input 2 to input 1 on the 2nd amp the 2nd amp will have its own volume & EQs. If i'm wrong someone will correct me. If you have 2 outs on your volume pedal you can go to each amp No. 1 input.

Richard, if you run your volume pedal to the first amp on the front input, you can run the "preamp out" from the rear of the that amp to the "amp in" on the rear of the second amp. This configuration will allow the first amp controls to have the same controls on the second amp.

If you are looking to have seperate control on the second amp, you can either run two lines out of a stereo volume pedal to each input on the amps.

Or, you can run your mono volume pedal to the front input on the first amp and then run a cord from the front second input of the first amp to either front input on the second amp. This will send the same signal to both amps and allow you to control the preamps on both amps seperately.

I was having trouble with hum when I ran two outputs from my volume pedal. Since I use the same settings, I just ran a normal line to one of the amps, then went pre eq out to post eq in (on amp #2). There's no eq control for the second amp, but it gives a nice full sound running both of those 12's.

Wouldn't you want to run post EQ send on the first amp to the post EQ return on the other? You're sending an unequalized signal to the second amp. If you like it, don't change it, but I thought I'd point that out.

If I wanted separate EQ settings on each amp, I'd run from the Pre EQ send to the Pre EQ return on the second amp.

I run one cord from my volume-pedal to #1-IN on the front of Amp. #1 and then using the Rear FX~Loop, I run a cord from Amp. #1 (Pre~Amp. OUT) to Amp. #2 (Power~Amp. IN). That way you only need to adjust the #1 Amp. Pre~Gain, EQ, Reverb and Master as usual. Then on Amp. #2, the only control you use is the Master, which you would normally set the same as Amp. #1. It isn't necessary to run 2-cords from your volume-pedal to the front of each Amp. unless you desire two different sounds. If you only want Effects in Amp. #2, you can put them in line between the two-Amps. on the Rear FX~Loop! However, if you want the same effects in both Amps. you'll need to either go from the effects-unit to your front INput on Amp. #1 or use one of the front patch-loops. If you hook up like my original suggestion, you can then also use the (3)-Cord Hook-Up!
