I have an old Sho-Bud amp. seventies vintage, with a 15" JBL speaker that appears to be in good shape and sounds good but with a few battle scars on the case  was wondering if someone could tell what the going price is for such an amp. |

| How much it's worth, depends on the model. Does it have sliders for controls? I think that would be the least valuable Sho~Bud amp. The christmas tree amps, with the light up control panel, fetch more. And then there are the single channel models, which I guess are somewhere in between...Jerry |

| Its not the slider or the christmas tree, It has all round knobs and two plug-ins, there are no model numbers I can find on it. some one has used a metal stamp to put 0659 on the chassis. Do you know the dollar range they sell for? |

Charles, It sounds like you have a Sho-Bud S-15 black face combo amp. It's all solid state and about 70 watts. I would say that it would sell for $250 to $450 depending on condition and whether or not it is a Cain circuit (and that is hard to tell).

| A really clean single channel,(knob type),made during the Kenneth Cane era, could easily bring $550.00 or more. I have turned down that offer for mine. My Sho-Bud had incredable tone until I was forced to recone the speaker. It's never been as good since, so it sets at home in a corner. I now play a modified Nashville-112, but I'm still looking for my old Sho-Bud tone in a new modern amplifier. |

| Thanks a lot, I think I will hold on to it, who knows it may continue to go up in value. I have a N-V 112 on order, after trying it out I may have to go back to the old Sho-Bud. thanks to all who posted. |
