Hey, I have a bunch of questions! Fistly, do any weiss players on this forum play standing up?

How do you get a strap on there so the guitar can hang flat & the strap not be in the way?

Also is there any way of avoiding drilling strap-button holes?

I'm guessing that having the bottom of the guitar free would make some difference to the sound as well...

Just wondered if you guys have any ideas.

A typical Weissenborn is built so light that I would hate to put that much strain on the guitar.

There are a fair number of guys who play a "weissie" standing up.

Strap button in the usual spot on the tail end of the guitar, and a loop that goes around the headstock-in other words-a dobro strap.

Always use a strap lock!

I play my weiss copies standing up and I don`t worry about the strain on the guitar. You can control how heavily you lean on the guitar. I use a dobro strap and have an end-pin jack I installed for the Sunrise pup.
