Another 1st Friday, another showcase for fine steel guitar and Hawaiian music, Son's style.

5pm to 9pm, at the Chinatown post office courtyard on Nuuanu Ave. at Beretania St.

Just follow the crowd.

Be there!

Isn't it always the place to be, regardless of the music?

Yup.

But it's all reletive. Meant mainly for those already in Hawaii and thinking "how could life be any better?", well, tonite may answer that question.

Since most of us are thousands of miles away from Oahu, what say you videotape for us Ron?

Come on, you've wetted everyone's appetite.

I'd love to, believe me, but I'm out (again, as usual) of a working unit. That's why I'm hoping someone else from the steel lovers club will be there tonite filming to provide us with some fun re-viewing.

As of lunch time, Ron Kanahele won't make it tonite, but quite possibly Bobby Ingano will be able to man the steel for Derrick's group.
How's that for a stand in?
If not, Der will probably bounce 'tween steel and rythym guitar.
