When I developed and started posting steel guitar players files on my web site, I posted that it was for players only and that no singers would be featured. I still receive files from time to time that have great players behind singers but do not post them. I have no intention to upset anyone with this rule, but steel players is what the web site is about and there is no file there that has a singer featured.

If you are a steel player (level is not a problem) and want your file posted, send it to me in a MP3 and I will post it.

Please visit the site at etsga.org.etsga50.htm Dial-up users most likely will have some problems. The files are embedded in Windows Media Player and are published using FTP in Microsoft Frontpage. I am not smart enough to advise why certain visitors have problems with the files.

Should you want a file that you can't hear, email me and I will send it to you attached to an email but dial-up will still be slow that way too.

I appreciate all you players that have sent files to be published.

Just a thought: Maybe the senders, or perhaps you yourself can mask the vocals so the steel is loudest in the track. Back-up steel is/can be a very appealing showcase for a steeler's abilities.

That's a good thought Erik and I don't mean to step in Charles, but I have learnt from experience that when you try pulling out the vocals in a song a lot of the quality goes with it. It's unfortunate that happens, but they haven't made a program that will keep all the good tone and still remove the vocals. Maybe some day.

Tilley-It's your Site and your call. I like listening to the STeel Solos on your Website.

There is no reason why a backup steel player cant make a solo rendition and send it to you. So let's go guys . This has been great, All Steel....al.SmileSmile

I think it's okay if the singer does the fills on the choruses, and takes a solo every third or fourth tune. Laughing
