Just finished Playing it. Wow What a tone. The tuning Is a little Different Although It was in tune So i didnt have too adjust it. Shipped originally to Goodletsville tenn. In 1971 Emmons still Has the warranty card. On the original Case It says Faron young Band. It also came with a like new Road case.I Am to scared to try it on a gig till i learn how To Tune it . It might sound Pretty good through My 1969 standell Well At least it will look good. Mike cass Restored it for the Previous Owner Satin rosewood and Black laquer wooden necks I Would say Mike Knows what he is doing it looks like a new guitar.If I get use to the tuning Looks like My Black2006 D 10 8 and 5 legrande 111 May take a One way ticket Somewhere.Randy.

Randy-- Congrats on getting the ultimate in Pedal Steel. (my opinion, of course)
Don't be afraid of tuning the Emmons PP.

Very good info for the PP owner. Also, give a call to Steel Guitar Nashville for their Push Pull maintenance video.
If yours is in as good shape as mine, you probably will not need to tune it anywhere except at the key head but once a year or so. I PROMISE!
This will be different if you start changing string gauges, etc. It still is no big deal to do. Jump on in and figure out that it is nothing to be scared of.

The intimidation will pass quickly.
This is me playing my 1973 cut tail at a gig, about 5 hours after unpacking it the day it arrived from Bobbee Seymour. I actually bought it from him over the phone, sight unseen.
Best playing and sounding pedal steel I've ever owned. |

It's a bolt-on. All Emmons' with wood necks are bolt-ons.
Yours is a really nice gtr, too... fatback with wide pedal spacing. |

| Set it up and 5 minutes Before We started The 6th string Was slipping out Of tune. i Changed It and Pulled it a Little and Never Had to tune it the rest Ofthe night. I Hope I never have To sell this tone monster. Randy. |
