I have both the Pearse Big Daddy Cryo bar and the BJS bars I use. The Cryo treatment to the Pearse bar may give it a tad more sustain than the BJS. I can't hear any tone difference. A fellow steel player said his Pearse gave a better tone? Don't expect any major difference in sound.

The Thermo thing involves slowly heating and cooling the metal, supposedly to allign the molecules to improve hardness and sustain... whatever they do, these are very fine bars, and NEVER crack, chip, or dent. At least mine don't. |
