Does any one have a Phillips recorder or equivalent to use for copying cassettes and LP's to a CD for sale - I'd rather do this that go through the computer.
thanx.......Ron

I bought a Phillips against some advice I read and it went bad. Replaced it with a Sony and it does the job perfect. The only problem is you have to punch in "record" after each song or with tape you just get one continence song due to even slight tape hiss. You can program it to read pauses but that can backfire. |

I had a Phillips recorder. It NEVER did work !! I now have an RCA. It works great. It assigns tracks automatically if the tape has at least 3 seconds between songs or you can make them manually. I highly recommend the RCA. You can put in almost any analog signal. |

JENNINGS: THE PHILLIPS RECORDER WANTS 74 MINUTE "DIGITAL AUDIO" CDS. IT WON'T TAKE 80 MINUTE CDS AND IT WON'T TAKE REGULAR COMPUTER CDS.

I have a Technics VGCA, master unit, I play the cassets thru a Technics casset player, into Sound Forge, save it as a wave file, makes beautiful sounding CD's. BUT this takes real time.
I do long play on a Technics turntable the same way.
