Old picker but ABSOLUTELY new to steel. I just bought a used 6- string Melobar lap steel. I have no idea what model it is or how old it is. It is in very good condition but I can't find a serial number to help identify it. Have taken some pictures but must have missed the instruction on how to upload them. If someone will tell me how to upload pics I will send a couple to see if anyone can identify the guitar. Look forward to picking up some tips from forum members. I will need all the help I can get.

Eddie "C" - Thanks for your well wishes. I went on the chat room tonight & got some tips on strings, tunings, etc. Those of you who have been playing steel for a while may have forgotten just how much there is to learn when you start with zero knowledge of the steel guitar. It will be both challenging and enjoyable and I certainly look forward to interacting with other forum members as I go along.
