The fact is that the tuners, wiring, pots and pickup are not helped buy exposure to caustic flood water and even if they are functional at this point the long term health of these components must be a concern to anyone who buys the guitar. The fact that it is a "Katrina Survivor" is hardly the same as if it was a "Titanic Relic" and should not impact the price upward as he seems to think. I can only see it as a reason to buy it for less because of the possible expense of repairs in the future.

yep, being submerged under water like that would scare me off. It's probably not long before it quits all together.

I told him it would be worth 800 bucks in GOOD shape, not corrosion waiting to happen, and the fact that it was in a flood is a moot point. This guy is a real piece of work.
