Just got a s-10 sho-bud with the tone and volume controls. I also have a '76 LDG and what I guess is a mid 80's PRO-III. The LDG has a BL 705, the Pro-III standard sho-bud p/u. THe newer ones I run my bass at around +9,the old timer around -7. It is very bassy and deep sounding,at -7 it seems to me to sound just beautiful. Question is; are the old p/u's wound that much different or is this guitar just different from the usual s-10's. I play through a NV1000. I would like to make my LDG sound like this.

The shobud pickup is a single coil. The 705 is a humbucker. Jerry Wallace of True Tone pickups can wind you a pickup to your request. Hope this helps. Smile
