I have a sixties Emmons S-10 with a D lever. Would like to either change it to an E (lower both E's half step) or add an E lever. Is this something a player could do or should I ship it out, or should I just leave well enough alone? Looking for all sugestions. Also will be listing a 76 square neck Dobro for trade for a universal S-12 (guess that's a given). Thanks for any and all help...Larry

Hi Larry
If there's only one lever on the guitar, and it lowers the 2nd string to D, you could sure use two or three more levers. I would opt for getting more levers professionally installed, unless for some reason you don't want to disturb the originality of the guitar...Jerry
