of a verse to a higher root up the neck to start the next verse.
Specifically in Someday Soon, if I finish in open G at the 3rd fret, there is a nice little run up to G with AB pedals at 10- just 4 chords total counting the first and last G chords.
What are two nice intervening chords?
I play Gm at 6 fret and Am at 8 fret and it seems to sound OK.
Any better ideas?
Thanks
Bob

Not sure why you would play a Gm in the key of G.

Maybe you could do something like this.

3~3A~6AF~8A~10AB~8A~8~8X~8D

Maybe put 11AF between the 8A~10AB

You could also start with 3~3BC~5BC

Of course, on all of these, you'll need to be playing the correct strings. I have a whole step lower on my 6th string so I can get a G chord at 8DL, where L lowers the 6th string. Without the L-Lever, you could still get the G-chord on 8 but you'd have to move from string 6 to string 7. Not a big deal, it just sounds smoother doing it all on string 6.

I don't have my guitar here but everything I listed above should be correct. And there are plenty more voicings that you could throw in. Maybe this will get you started.
