While I'm waiting for Rick to brew up a new batch of NIBros, does anyone have an original Supro magnet they'd be willing to sell me? My sister gave me an Airline lap steel that only has one magnet (the treble side of the pickup uses a block of silver-painted wood). When I swapped in a magnet from my other Supro, the Airline really came to life. I keep the two guitars in different tunings, so I'd really like to have them both in full form. Thanks.

Dave, a year or 2 ago I had 3 guitars with string through pickups that needed remag-ing. A Supro Supreme, a National New Yorker 8 string and an Airline. As it turned out, I only had 2 sets to send Rick Aiello because the Airline and the New Yorker each had one wooden dummy. I didn't even like the New Yorker's sound and had just about given up on it, but when I popped in a set of NIBros it was like a new guitar. It sounds really beautiful now, sweet and responsive. And the once wimpy Airline is just out of control now - a real screamer, and sometimes when I feel that way too I plug it in.

Anyway, I have one set of NIBros I've been saving for a National Emergency.
I don't want to sell them - but I'll send them to you if you promise to send me back a set when you get them from Rick.

Just don't walk by the cutlery display with NIBros in your pocket!

Don't throw them "wood/aluminum dummies" away ...

My molds are probably good for this working season (summer) ... but eventually they will fail, and I'll need some "originals" to make new ones.

I don't have a Supro ... and I'd rather not make new molds from castings.

Anyway, glad y'all like them ... Laughing

Dang Rick, I wish I woulda known that back then.
But I don't think I threw my dummies away, they gotta be around here somewhere.
If I can find them I'll send them along.

These are guitars that were restored by NIBros:

Rick,

Still wishing you and yerz the Very Best.

I too have some wood slugs, and be happy to send to ya; But won't bother you in your present workload until you ask (via email, lest I miss it being away from here often with my own full plate). I too am looking forward to the summer's Rare Earth crop(s). Smile

ALOHA,
DT~

Rick--thanks for the offer to lend me your extra NIBros, but I've kludged in a ceramic refrigerator magnet that should get me through until the other Rick does his next batch of NIBros.

Your National is a beaut, and you Airline looks just like mine. Thanks again for the offer.
