After reading alot of input on this topic by Mr. Hankey, B.Hoffnar, and others who contributed to said posts, i have fabbed (it took about two hours to make) a 'prototype for hugheyland'. I don't doubt that there have been others before this but a'course i had to try to add the preverbial twist. My camera's in need of batteries this evening so i will post a photo tomorrow.

Hello, here's some pics. I'm quite impressed with the added ability to play more quickly, accurately and with confidence up high. Imagine if it was good looking too.

Now THAT'S creative!! If I'd done it, it would have been wider yet, with a cup holder!! |

Pardon my ignorance, but I can't see how this would make playing any easier? |

It seems to me that it would be a ,lot easier to see up there with that much more fret to look at..Also if you had some little plastic airplanes it would make a wonderful Aircraft Carrier, something to play with in-between songs.Stu _________________ Steeltronics Z-pickup,Desert Rose S-10 4+5,Desert Rose Keyless S-10 3+5... Stu, I think little plastic football players would be more fun!
Very innovative thinking. |

Could this be considered a variant of the Bill Hankey Vertical Fretboard? |

Necessity...the Mother of all Invention.
I have often pondered how to clearly see where I wanted to go. I have tried stickers and the like, but this is a wonderful idea.
The guitar that Chas shows is very cool indeed.
Hmmmmmm??! |
