If I am not mistaken, at the end of the movie "The Departed" we hear Roy playing "Sweet Dreams". I just love his arrangement. Does anyone know of a "you tube" performance? I would sure like to have that in my favorites. |

You're not mistaken, Dan.
I recognised that a mile away, then the credits confirmed it. |

I was lucky enough to see Roy a couple of times at a small venue (Richards) here in Atlanta in the early 70's. He always had his Fender amp on a chair facing the rear of the stage (miked, I assume). Great shows.
I love the album that contains Sweet Dreams. One favorite is his version of "I am a lonely Fugitive", the Merle Haggart song. Roy does an excellent solo.
I have been listening to "Wired" this week in the car. "These arms of Mine" is stellar.

You guys really know your Roy. So maybe somebody could tell me where to find any recordings he might have done with the tele that Guild made for him. He wasn't too crazy about them, so I don't know if he ever recorded with them. |
