I read that Peavey was showing their new lightweight speaker at the Dallas show. Did anyone see it or hear it? Is it a 12" or 15" speaker? Inquiring minds want to know! |

Apparently nobody knows anything about the new Peavey speaker yet? |

Mike showed it to me and I was impressed. I picked up the whole speaker with one hand easily. It was a 15". I am sure Mike will update us when he can. |

I did display a "neo"(neodymium)Black Widow at the recent Texas Steel Guitar Jamboree. At this time, we are retooling for the manufacture of the 1501-4 shallow basket, so the completion date of the 1501 neo BW will follow.
Thanks for inquiring. |

Never mind the weight, what will it sound like? A Black Widow? A JBL (my wish)?
Thanx,

The way I understand it, it IS a BW, will use the same basket, just the magnet is lighter, so I imagine it will sound like a BW, which some of us like |

I will eagerly await the results of the field tests (on the bandstand, home practice, etc.).

It is voiced like the 1501 BW. We are now working on getting this model in production. I will announce these new speakers will begin to ship. |

Mike--
What is the difference in weight between the two comparables?
What is the weight of the 112 with the stock speaker compared with the same amp with the replacement neodymium one?
BTW, thanks for the excellent service, reasonable cost and quick turnaround Peavey provided me recently. You guys are the best, and I sing your praises every chance I get.
Younger steelers should take notice: over the years there has been no better friend to the steel guitar community, and the brand loyalty to Peavey you find out there is well-deserved. If great tech support and advice is important to you, check out their products.
BTW I'm not connected with the company in any way, I am just a regular customer who's been treated right every time.

Oh boy! I'd call it a "NeoWidow".
Is it me, or does that sound like something Elmer Fudd would say?
At any rate, I'm glad Peavey's finally going neo-wave! |

Mike-If you put that Neo in a Nashville 112, that would be a sweet honey and a real winner....al. _________________ Michigan (MSGC)Christmas Dinner and Jam on my 80th Birthday.
