I just finished going through this Zumsteel and decided to offer it up for sale. It is a very fine instrument, the red mica is perfect.
I believe it has a birthdate of 1981 (s/n D1098117).
It is set up with 9 foot pedals and 8 knee levers.
4 of the foot pedals are for E9th and 5 for C6th.
The knee levers are 5 for the E9th and 5 for the C6th (the right knees are shared by both necks). It has the Emmons pedal setup w/the Franklin changes on the 4th pedal.
I just put Jerry Wallace's TruTone pickups on it but I can send the original Zum pickups along.
I am asking $3,000 plus shipping for the guitar and I should have some pictures to show in a few days.
If you are interested, drop me a line and we can talk about it.
Thanks,
Erv

Murray,
Check your e-mail.
Donald,
You've got mail too.
It seems like a lot of the Zums were set up with 9 foot pedals but there were only 3 pedals used for the E9th neck. I re-rodded this guitar and set the E9th neck up with 4 foot pedals. I also got new vertical levers from Bruce so that they could be adjusted for height along with a center cluster of knee levers for the C6th neck. |
