This afternoon, my good friend and mentor, Eddie Cunningham, paid me a visit, with a video tape from Big John. What an eye opener!!! If you want to see (some of the best straight steel guitar playing I've ever seen), with no effects, gizmo's over dubbing, etc. etc. Just a plain old (great) rhythm player, try to get a copy of this video !!! Played with his T10.

A belated response on my part but I too, received a copy of that video. He really gets around on that Diatonic Tuning, and the other as well. Yes, that rhythm guitarist, is what I always dreamed of; that one like he would move in next door to me and we could play music until the cows came home.
Great performance by both musicians. THANKS John for sharing with me and countless other of your many friends.

For those who don't know, John is as nice a man as he is a great player.

Well, I haven't been checking the Forum enough lately and I was really surprised to see this Topic Posted! Thanks a bunch for all your positive response to my/our first attempt at putting together such a project! If my Camcorder hadn't quit on me, I had planned on 5 more PSG tunes, but; under the circumstances, I didn't have too much choice but to just go with what we already had and not prolong the process! We did one tune at a time and most were considered to be just passing after about 2-tries, however; for example, it took 7-tries to do Danny Boy and I still never got it the way I wanted it to be! Again, thanks for all your compliments and as far as availability is concerned, a copy is available to anyone anytime for just the cost of the tape! This video isn't anywhere near a professional-quality production!
