Nice work. The only nitpicking I could do is to say that the correct spelling is "Dopyera", not Doperya.

Funny you mention that Mike. I actually did a google search on the name as I was writing it to get the correct spelling and the site it sent me to had it spelled that way. I actually cut and pasted it.
Actually if you do a google search on the way I spelled it, you'll find it is a common misspelling of the name.
I've told them to correct it.[This message was edited by Bill McCloskey on 20 June 2006 at 07:36 AM.] |

Traditional Steel Guitar manufacturers such as MSA and Sierra have now been pushing the envelope with exciting and newly designed lap steel models which have re-invigorated the market.
I fixed it for ya!

Speaking of which, any know who I can contact at Sierra about getting a steel to review? |

Bill-- nice job on your introductory column! If your future efforts are as clear, comprehensive, accurate, & enthusiastic as this, you'll have no trouble maintaining the interest of steelers & non-steelers alike...& probably making a few converts along the way.

Bill, I have an S8 & S12 Sierra. Be my guest if you want to give them a whirl. Actually, I have several steels that you'd be welcome to review. [This message was edited by HowardR on 20 June 2006 at 03:57 PM.] |
