I dropped in on Southworth Guitars in Bethesda MD yesterday. As a vintage guitar dealer they've always had lots of eye candy, but at high prices. Bethesda is a very high rent area that borders Washington DC.

I was delighted to see some steels on the floor; A couple of Dual Pro's, a dual Ricky, Console Grande and a Champ(?). They also had a Dobro DM-33 and a really low end pre-war Regal square neck (faux cone).

The guy behind the counter quoted me $1250 for a Dual Pro that looked like a dog had chewed a chunk off, $2250 for a pristine Dually. FWIW

Friendly guys that do most of their business in old Gibsons and Tellys. Don't know if they negotiate.I wasn't buying and wished them well after some friendly banter.

Thanks for the report. Those prices sure are high, but maybe that's what the market is right now. I paid $1100 for my dual about a year ago.
