Just today I find Firefox is "Unable to find server" at quite a few websites, e.g. Bobbe Seymour's and even things like Amazon.com. Luckily it seems to have no problem finding the Forum server, so I am able to post this here!

In fact, the Forum seems to be the only one it can find! Is this its way of telling me I'm spending too much time on the Forum?

I downloaded the latest Firefox update, I believe yesterday. Could this be the problem?

I upgraded to Firefox 2.0.0.3 yesterday as well, and everything works as it did before. It was a minor security update, nothing major, with some backwards compatibility issues resolved. Whatever is causing your DNS failure problem, it most likely has nothing to do with Firefox itself. Test this anyway by trying to visit my website, at http://www.wizcrafts.net/ . If that fails to resolve let me know here or by email.

Reboot your computer and try again. Sometimes things simply go awry and a reboot may clear them up.

It appears the problem is with my ISP. Something about a fiber-optic problem. They say they should have it resolved by 12:00 AM EDT. E-mail seems not to be working, so I am replying here. If it doesn't get fixed by them I will post again.
Thanks, Wiz.

So it was a DNS problem, on the ISP's end.

Due to the convergence of forces beyond our comprehension our URLs were squirted out of the known Universe, never to be resolved again Evil or Very Mad

Just like Salvatore Quanucci!

All seems to be well now. I guess they fixed it.
