As of late, when I go surfing, Spybot warning flags are popping up all over.

They all say basically this: Spybot S+D has blocked the download of "/Advertising.com"! You can turn off this warning on the Spybot Immunize page.

I went to the Immunize page and couldn't find where to turn anything on or off, except for "Enable
permanent blocking of bad addresses in Internet Explorer". It was checked, so I unchecked it, but the warnings still keep coming.

I must have clicked on something in Spybot the last time I ran it and this might be causing all these warning flags.

Can anybody familiar with Spybot point me in the right direction as to how to fix this?

Thanks, one and all. Confused

Chip,

Mine has a drop down box just below that checked box with three options. Mine is set to "block all bad pages silently". If yours does too, does it say "display dialog when blocking"?

Hi Rick,

Right now I went and checked off ENABLE, and the drop-down menu now says "display dialog when blocking".

Should this take care of things?

I appreciate your response. Thanks.

Chip;
Use the silent option to block bad downloads. Spybot S&D is doing it's job and just letting you know about a potential problem it has prevented from happening. You are smart to have installed the program. Be sure to check for updates manually, every Wednesday (throughout the day).

Thanks Wiz. I'll definitely keep up with the updates.
Was unaware of the specific Wednesday updates. Good to know. Smile
