I was watching a video of George Jones on You Tube. The song is "Got to Be My Baby". There's a female steel player picking on an early pedal steel. It's set up fairly high with this gal sitting on a stool. She's on a double neck but it looks like there's only two pedals on the front neck. Does anybody out there know who this might be?

"You Gotta Be My Baby" is an early Jones song, circa 1956-57. Without seeing the clip, I would guess you are looking at black and white footage of one of George's west coast appearances in LA, possibly Town Hall Party, and that the steel player is Marion Hall on a Bigsby. Marion passed away within the last year or so.

Yep, that's what it was. Thanks for the info. I'd never heard of her before. She played some tasty licks on the tune along with some hot licks from Joe Maphis.
