In the current (UK) Guitarist mag. with Gilmore on the cover, he states that they are '70s era UK made Jensen steels (Fender copies) with Fender relacement PUs.
He has 2, and as he states, an open Em and an open G6 - EBGDGD.
He also has a 2X8 pedal steel which he sez "it had more strings than I could actually deal with", so he got the 6ers.
Good eye Richard! I'd heard that Phil had been in the band at some point, but forgot to look.
And check out the 'Comfortably Numb' video.

BJ Cole played Gilmour's Wisenbourn on the original of 'Then I Close My Eyes'.
It'd be interesting to see Dave play it live.
Terry, glad you dug it too.
Those guy's always knew how to use overblown visuals to great effect. The crowd seems to be helplessly enthralled and no doubt were, as I would have simply melted into the floorboards had I been lucky enuf to be there.
Dispite the Live8 reunion, there appears no chance of a continued collaboration for David and Roger.
But it was a great run. |
