An early version of JERRY BYRD playing "I Wanna Go Back to my Little Grass Shack" can now be heard on the JERRY BYRD Fan Club site. It's a 'different' sound of a familiar song that JERRY has done in several different variations. Give it a listen. Some of Jerry's fast single string work is performed by using ONLY the thumb. How about that?

Next JERRY BYRD teams with George Morgan and the Candy Kids on an old radio broadcast.........three songs actually. It seems the person that was recording the show 'live' from black and white radio (I have to imagine)......chose to turn off the recorder every time the singer was prominent but fortunately, turned it back on in time to hear JERRY's solo. It's live and historical in nature. Some of you might enjoy it. I hope so.

Your comments are always appreciated. It gives me direction. But, some of you are asking for tunes that were on the site but a few weeks earlier, so what goes? Don't you guys listen in on a regular basis? If you don't tune it a couple of times a week, you're likely to miss some really great music.

Hi Ray: Where do I find The Jerry Byrd Fan Club Site?I would like to be able to hear our J.B. once again.I tried that direct link shown in the second post, to no avail.. I'm cross-eyed; blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. But, my hearing is great, when it comes to Steel guitar, whether it be "PEDAL or LAP".Our friend, Jerry started the ball to rolling.. Thanks, Bernie.. Rolling Eyes

Just wanted to acknowledge your post Bernie and am most glad to hear that YOU find the JERRY BYRD FAN CLUB site interesting and enjoyable. That's why we devote so much time to the project.

A most sincere THANK YOU to both Basil and Andy for once again helping out with those direct links to the JBFC site. I just don't have the hang of it yet.

Hope you all enjoy the tunes that we've posted.

It is great to have the JB Web Site up and running again, Ray. Jerry plays the heck out of Little Grass Shack this week. I've always liked that number. Kayton Roberts also does a great job on this one. I believe someone had posted a You Tube with Kayton playing Little Grass Shack a few months back. Always a pleasure to see him playing.

Thanks again, Ray, for all your work with the JBFC site.

"Little Grass Shack" was a featured tune just a couple of months back as was "Coconut Grove".

Sorry you missed them but thanks for expressing an interest. I'm sure the host appreciates that.

Having been a frequent visitor to that site now for several years, I've found that the songs on three different pages on the JB-FC.com site change haphazardly about every three weeks, plus or minus. I understand direct LINKS are not included since it was the hosts desire to have viewers explore and digest the various topics and pages of content rather than just jumping in and trying to grab a listen.
