The "curator" of MOMI is Hank Risan, who has a long and checkered vintage guitar career. I have never met him, but I know several people who have had dealings with him, and none have anything good to say.
All his stuff for sale is priced many times above the market. Who knows what his motives are?

Yeah, a tad overpriced.
I've had dealings with Mr. Risan and well...what John said.
It figures he's behind that. I guess they're just trying to reel in some well-heeled patrons of the arts who know nothing about vintage guitars.

Do you suppose he ever sells anything at those hyper-inflated prices?? Reminds me of some vintage automobile dealers. They must all train at the same sales seminar.
