Thanks to Tommy Wayne in Vegas for a very cool '68 T-8 Stringmaster. The green truck delivered it today, I strung it up and am/are having a ball pickin' on it. I've got a lot of happy huntin' to do. Necks are tuned A6, C6, E13.

I may need replacement legs, got any suggestions?

cheers,
Drew

Forum member Don Burrows has made several sets of Stringmaster and other legs for me. His tolerances are tighter than the originals.

and I hasten to add - that's a beauty ! !

Hi Drew, if I'm not mistaken I was in touch with Tommy about oh, a year and a half ago about that same guitar but things didn't work out at the time and I wound up with my 55' T-8. That's a beauty for sure though, have fun with it.

Drew,
Congratulations on the Fender T-8. I'm having a ball our D-8 Stringmaster (whenever Linda will let me play it, ha ha ) I had this one re-painted and cleaned up where it now looks brand spankin new. Also, it has a tone to die for! Best sounding non-pedal guitars that have ever been designed IMHO. I just love playing "SleepWalk" on it!

Don Burrows made a set of legs for my Stringmaster. They're GREAT! First class workmanship.

This rare 8 neck Stringmaster needed extra support.
Don's legs took care of that!

Drew,

Congratulations to you on your new/old Fender Stringmaster T8. It sure is a beauty!!

BTW: Bobbe Seymour carries the Fender Spaghetti Decals if you’re looking to put one on the front. They are not easy to put on, as they are quite delicate. There's information here on SGF if decide to put it on yourself. You might consider a Pro or art store.

Be glad you didn’t get an 8 neck, 8 string Stringmaster like Rick Alexander did. You should see his arm length now!!

Report's are that Rick is doing OK with his reverses and slants, but having a heck of a time driving his car. Heard the Miami Heat is looking for him…. TX

Rgds,

Ron

Drew;
Nice looking T-8 and I notice also, it's the short 22½” model! That would be the deciding (+)-factor for me, if I were buying one!
