Anyone ever run across this issue before? I changed out a single coil pickup in my Carter and replace it with a GL E-66 that I had from an old guitar. I've noticed a pretty substantial drop in volume/output when using the E-66. It sounds good...it's just about 70% as loud as the single coil. Since I'm using a Nashville 112, I'm a little concerned about the overall volume drop. Any comments? |

Something's definitely amiss. If anything, the E66 should be louder than the single-coil it replaced. So, either the pickup is defective, or the wiring is wrong. |

Or, maybe the pickup is adjusted too far from the strings. |

Donnie - I worried about the wiring and tried all possibilities to cover the bases.
Bob - I've got it adjusted to a quarter's width from the strings. |
