will dunlop pot fit in emmons volume control ? yes

I had a pot installed in an emmons volume control by clyde burrell . he used to make bodies for Stadler music . It is working great. It is nice to be a part of the forum.I used to play steel many years ago for ray pillow before he went to the opry in the 60's i am very puzzled about where traditional country music has gone.[/quote]

The Dunlop pot will fit in the Emmons pedal though you have to make sure there is minimal side to side movement on the pedal, as the three connectors are on the back of the pot.Also the three soldered leads will have to be connected and run parallel to the back of the pot.It's a close thing and you may not have any room for a washer between the armature and the pot body.. As regards the disappearance of traditional country music, here in England, it always only had a tenuous foothold and that was destroyed pretty well by the line dance scene. But I suppose things move on, and we have to move over for the next scene. The one thing that fashion cannot destroy and that is a good song, and the traditional music had some fantastic songs and they'll never die. Country music out of Nashville now seems to essentially be the rock music of the seventies, and I must admit to liking a lot the players and singers. Modern productions are flawless, but I do miss the one take songs that had that certain 'real feel' about them.
Ah well... C'est la vie.

Barry: Thanks for the info. on pot for Emmons vol. control. Had mine replaced by a friend on 3-6-07.No problem. Had to change Webb setting from 5to3 onbass and from 2.5 to 3.5 on treble.
