I will get some pics up, and maybe one of our friends here can help me out posting them...This guitar is a honey, .. Even got a line on some extra pedals... Right now its 3+4... It will be either 6+4 or 5+5, depending on my mood, my money, and whatever parts I can scrape up..,,,,,yay ,Back to a vintage MSA... right where I belong... bob |

Bob, you're a trader, but I love you anyway! I'm happy for you. Enjoy your new steel. Everybody playing the same brand of steel would be like everybody driving the same damn car. _________________ Al

Al, my gear gets changed way more often than my socks and drawers.. I AM a horsetrader.. My Carter is a keeper tho'..
anyway, its here and is so pristine, I can't even begin to describe it..The original case looks like it was just taken out of the factory box.. as does the guitar.. The gorgeous deep cherry stain, is as bright and vibrant as the day it was applied.. You could eat your Cheerios off the undercarriage!!!.
Guess what, it has the factory built in fuzz unit too!!! Now how cool is that??!!. 2 sets of knobs on there... oohhh baby!!... I will get some pics up.. I sure hope it sounds good!! bob |

Bob, That is sure a nice guitar, Iam glad that you are keeping you Carter. I have an SD10 Carter 3 and 5 and it is awesome. I also have an MCI sd10 3 and 5. I rotate each month. The Carter is red and the MCI is grey and black. I really enjoy the MCI. I just wish it were not mica. I've even thought of taking off the mica and finishing the body in lacquer. I doyt know if it is practical. I do have a spare decal but I am not sure about doing that. Your thoughts would be apppreciated _________________ LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN GEORGIA |

tbhenry... wow.. I sure wouldn't take the mica off the MCI... First off, MCI guitars are hot movers when up for sale.. LOTS of guys want to get their hands on one, and they are hard to find... I wouldn't make that kind of alteration on a desirable and highly regarded steel, but hey,its yours not mine, and of course you must do what is best for you,,,,
second, and more importantly, taking all that mica off may alter the tonal characteristics a bit.... I don't know for sure of course, but personally I would not chance it,,, I would just play and enjoy it.. You have other great guitars,, I'd keep a great steel like that MCI in a place of honor among all my other gear,,,,bob |
