fwiw, I really like Brozman's teaching videos (even though he's not my favorite player in the final analysis ...pure personal preference). He's well-organized, a good explainer, and crams a lot of substance into his videos. Stacy Phillips's two-volume Dobro teaching video are similarly good, and don't miss his books: The Dobro Book (somewhat superseded by his more comprehensive "Mel Bay's Complete Dobro Player) -- and his two volumes on Hawaiian guitar: v1 explains quite a bit of technique, v2 is more of an annotated tune book. All but Dobro Book come with CD; you can buy a CD for the Dobro Book separately.

Stacy also has a great set out on Homespun with 6 cassettes or CDs. Loaded with great stuff, well worth the $.

What tuning are you using? I think you'll be able to learn much from what's already been recommended. I think Stacy Phillips' "The Complete Dobro Player" handles the idea of harmony notes quite well (he calls two-note chords "dyads"). That one's using open G tuning.
