Hi all...I just worked a session for a local singer-writer, Molly McGinn. She wanted a David Lindley style part on her song "Preachers & Thieves". I like it A LOT.... very spare and plenty of sonic space....
are you willing to provide specifics about the recording, gear, setup etc. Where did you record it?
I love that Lindley sound... he and Lowell loved compression! |

| Thanks guys, for this song I used my '49 Green/White National Dynamic, into a Tube Screamer, to a Fender Blues Jr., a brass Shubb SP-1 bar & Perfect Touch finger picks, & Fred Kelly thumb pick...we ran the amp mic'ed in another room while I sat in the control room...what fun!!! |

| Molly's song "Preachers & Thieves" is starting to be played on the Greensboro College Radio station...and The Greensboro News and Record had an article on Molly & the writer said some great things about Molly & this song.....Way to go Molly, best of luck...Terry VunCannon. |
