After fighting for several hours, attempting to get Grandpa Jones' version of "Bread and Gravy" to come up, I finally gave up and installed "Pray, Pray, Pray" by Ernie Lee for you Gospel steel players.
Hope you'll enjoy it. http://www.jerrybyrdfanclub.com/JerrysMusic.htm [This message was edited by Ray Montee on 23 May 2006 at 11:45 AM.] |

THANKS again Brad. You are a special person.
I try and try and try and just can't get it right. I guess I'm too olde to be a computer whiz. I appreciate your helping hand.
Thanks for the other comments as well. |

Thanks Ray and Brad. That was just beautiful!
I love the old Gospel songs too. The chord progressions are simple, yet they have those wonderful transition chords. And the melodies are sweet, with meaningful lyrics that touch the soul.
Gospel songs are perfect for the Steel Guitar in a 6th tuning, and often lend themselves to a nice Western Swing feel.
I am playing at a nursing home this Friday, and most of my set will be Gospel.
God Bless

Kevin, I have the same problem, and I'm on a Mac. What I fail to understand is this, If Ray can UPLOAD the tracks to his website, SURELY he MUST know the url of the files !!
So why not post it correctly, and if someone else is uploading the files for Ray, why can't THEY provide Ray with the necessary address.?
It's not as if Ray's posting sound files occasionally, it's every week or more often.

I never have any trouble opening Ray's songs. The only thing I have to do is wait a few minutes before it starts loading, and presto...there it is...streaming audio. I use IE, and have Win. XP.
Thanks again, Ray

Thats just so sweet Ray, its pure and simple and for a newby I can understand whats happening, very much like Josh Graves in a way. You have unearthed a real beauty there. [This message was edited by Kevin Brown on 26 May 2006 at 12:38 PM.] |
