I finally got to listen to George's new CD, "It Just Comes Natural," which is actually the first George album I've heard in a looong time. Is George a huge Conway Twitty fan, or does he just happens to sound exactly like him in many passages? I didn't remember this at all when my wife bought his box set years ago, but I listened to the first CD from that set yesterday, and by golly, though it's a "younger," less-mature voice, I still heard some Conway influence there.

I have had this CD for a while. In Give It Away I guess you could say there's some Conway in there. I also heard Waylon and GJ. He sounds different in that song. But for the whole album I'd say it sounds like what I expect form GS.

I know GS can nail a Hank Sr. song/style.

Theresa, I love that steel solo, it succeeds in creating an ear worm that plays over and over in your head... or at least mine. Wink .... absolutely love the drum track too!

Conway Twitty? No way! George Strait's voice sounds more like Glen Campbell to me.

george sounds like george.........and there aint no doubt about his sound...his style...his songs...
my fav.......since the days of hank sr...hank thompson..others......can't be beat by any of today's new artists.........guess, as a texan, I am partial....plus, I cover a lot his songs with my old retired buddies at the nursing homes....I told someone the other nite the only diff between me and george was the size of our wranglers....mine are just a tad larger.....
