I was listening to my Collector Cd of the Detroit In The Fifties Vol. 4 Best of The York Brothers ( their big hits were " Hamtramck Mama and Detroit Hula Girl ) and there is some cool C6 steel playing on some of the later tracks. I read in the liner notes that they used Jerry Byrd , Zeke Turner and Louis Innes on the York Bros. cover of Wynonie Harris's old R+B song" Tremblin' ". It says they did some recording in Nashville on the Bullit label forr 45 release . A few of the other tunes really sound like Jerry Byrd or a disciple of his . Does anyone know if he was on any other tunes with the York Brothers other than Tremblin' ?

YES! Jerry played on "Sixty Minute Man" and others with the York Bros. If you'd care to send me "a copy", I can pretty accurately tell you whether it's Jerry or not.
Jerry encountered a very funny experience with those guys during a recording session; very, very funny.
