That's all he played every time I saw him. The earliest photos I have seen of him he is playing a guitar on his lap.

I would actually like to hear more of Fahey on steel after seeing this ... any recommendations for Fahey albums that have a significant amount of lap steel on them?

Ron, Thanks for posting this. As you can tell, John Fahey was a major influence on Leo Kottke's slide guitar playing as well as his fingerstyle playing. Check out the associated link to John playing In Christ There Is No East Or West. 'Gives me chill bumps....

Incidentally, if he were still alive, tomorrow would be John Fahey's 68th birthday. (He died February 22nd 2001)
